(Updated 8/2/2012)
The League of Women Voters of New Mexico depends on the generosity of individual supporters and members, foundations, and corporations to fund its citizen education and advocacy activities. You can contribute to the League online or you can download the contributions form and send it in with your check.
The Voters' Guide is funded by the LWVCNM Education Fund. As the Fall General Election approaches, your contributions are particularly appreciated! Although the Voters' Guide is produced and distributed entirely by volunteer labor, the League requires contributions to cover printing expenses.
The League of Women Voters Education Fund provides non-partisan voter education to citizens on issues and candidates by conducting and/or sponsoring public discussion, forums, panels, lectures, workshops and other similar programs, and by publishing books, leaflets, pamphlets, and other educational materials on issues and candidates for distribution to the public. This includes the popular Voters' Guide and Who's Who, a directory of elected public officials and how to contact them.
Contributions to the Education fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax-deductible.
Contributions to the League of Women Voters of Central New Mexico Operating Fund are used to conduct studies, hold Lobbying Workshops for all citizens, support our office operations, publish our monthly newsletter, and conduct studies, whereby the League's positions on issues of concern to the public are decided by consensus.
Because the LWVCNM Operating Fund is a 501(c)(4) organization, contributions are not tax-deductible, but are greatly appreciated!
Download the Contribution form. You can select which of the funds, Education or Operations (or both) that you wish to contribute to by checking the appropriate selections. When completed, mail the form and your check to the League office, as noted on the form.
